Most contractor marketing fails in the handoffs: the ad says one thing, the page says another, and nobody calls the lead back for a day. This plan launches the pieces in order so each one has something solid to hand off to.
Days 1โ30: Build the foundation
- Pick one service and one offer. For example: a roof inspection with photo report, an HVAC tune-up, a water heater replacement or a design consultation. One offer is easier to measure.
- Define a qualified lead in writing: service area, job type, property type, timing.
- Build one landing page that matches the offer, with a short form, click-to-call and text. See the landing page checklist.
- Set up routing and response expectations. Who gets notified, how fast they respond and where outcomes are logged.
- Install tracking for forms, calls and phone-link clicks.
- Launch a modest test campaign with creative from real jobs.
Days 31โ60: Tighten the system
- Review every lead against the qualified-lead definition. Disqualified leads tell you what to change in targeting or the form.
- Measure speed to first contact. If it is slow, fix that before spending more.
- Test one variable at a time: a new creative angle, a different headline or a tweak to the form.
- Start tagging outcomes: booked, sold, lost and why.
Days 61โ90: Scale what books
- Calculate cost per booked job by campaign.
- Increase budget only on campaigns that produce booked estimates within your target cost.
- Add a second offer or service if capacity allows.
- Make sure your Google Business Profile and website match, so homeowners who research you after seeing an ad find a consistent story.
